Why are we BORN if we have to DIE ?

Does this question made you think about the purpose of your birth? Is it of any significant value to you? I hope this question must be asked from everyone you meet daily. Only to receive interesting answers and to make them think what are they actually doing on this planet. Fro some this question may look stupid while some may treat this as an eye opener.

While Christians may claim they were born as a creation of the GOD and are here to live like the GOD or Jesus as humans were created in Gods shape, while Hindus may say it's because of Samsara and we are on the journey of Samsara by being born. Buddhists will object the question based on the fact that Buddha's teachings on non-existence of 'the being', 'the individual', 'the self', 'you' and 'me'. Therefore, the problem 'Why were we born?' does not arise for Buddhists. 

On a spiritual note, which coincide with Hindu & Buddhists beliefs we are born for two reasons. 

• Complete karma or give and take account.
• Meet the god or to attain Nirvana.

Lets look at very general views to this question. Usually the answer to this question vary depending the age of the respondents. However, mature people would have very diverse responses. Most common of them are to simply Live the life we got, to succeed in life both financially and career success, to serve the god, to live well and to be reborn again and to make the world a better place etc etc.   

Many of us think that we were born to earn a living and stay alive. but When we understand properly for what ultimate purpose we are here in this life, we'll realize that this business of earning to live is something quite incidental. It makes the real purpose for which we were born a secondary purpose or can lead to ignore same totally in the meantime. Is the purpose of life to endlessly accumulating more and more wealth and property? Or  is there some higher purpose of our life?

Before we getting in to a serious on this further, I would love to hear your answers, perspectives and views to this question. Why do you think you are born? Why are we BORN if we have to DIE ?
